I'm a web applications architect / product developer based in Sydney, Australia. I help businesses defining requirements for their ideas, then designing, developing, and making them happen.
My experience with web development goes from architecture, to design, to back-end and front-end. I strongly believe in controlling the deliverables, so I keep my skillset as broad as possible. I'm also experienced with infrastructure planning, databases (relational and NoSQL), Unix and GNU/Linux, and performance optimization for websites.
Most of my work gets done in Ruby, HTML5, CSS, and Javascript. I'm very proficient with jQuery, Ruby on Rails, and Sinatra, though my tools vary with the circumstances.

I develop and maintain a set of projects on Github. Of note:
- Shining, a toolkit for generating HTML5 presentations.
- rack-bundle, a Rack middleware for bundling, compressing, and serving Javascript and CSS.
- What's for steak today?, a website for steak lovers (source).
- jquery-domsearch, a jQuery plugin for searching the DOM.
And many, many more jQuery, Ruby tidbits, Sinatra, Rails plugins, libraries, and bits of code that fit in gists.

Work History
In Australia:
- Currently: Freelance software development and consulting.
- February 2009 to June 2010: Product developer at Incite, developing software using Rails, Javascript, CSS and HTML, alongside with architecture and planning of products.
- May 2008 to January 2009: Senior Systems Engineer at Service Seeking, helping them redesigning and rewriting the core company product.
- April 2006 to May 2008: Senior Systems Engineer at Tilefile LTD (later Storyz.com), working on developing a series of systems for analytics, mobile-friendly interfaces, distributed programming, and mashups, using mostly Ruby and Javascript.
- December 2004 to April 2006: Senior Systems Engineer / Systems Administrator at On Live PTY LTD, developing for Asterisk, building VoIP PBXs, handling network security, and a video conference module for Moodle.
In Brazil:
- January 1999 to to August 2004: Full time systems and GNU/Linux security administrator, and software developer at FACCAT.
